Meet Jamie Henrickson
Jamie was born in Oregon. Her father travelled quite a bit for work so she has lived in Oregon, California, Missouri, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, and South Carolina. After all that travel, Jamie knew that South Carolina was her true home and has been here for 13 years now. Now she would like to represent you and show others why South Carolina is so special.
Jamie started her conservative roots early as a member of Young Republicans in high school. She earned her BA at Siena Height University and began in the field of financial services, working her way up and ultimately founded the The Henrickson Group, LLC in 2017.
Jamie is deeply involved with the community. She has been a member of the Clover/Lake Wylie Republican Women 2009 and she has served on the board in multiple positions, most recently as president. She is also a member of the York County Republican Women, Republican Women Rising, and York County GOP. She is also a member of the Lion's Club and worked as a poll manager and clerk for several elections
Jamie has served on the York County Planning commission since 2015. She is in her fourth year as Chair and the two previous years as Vice-Chair. She will be stepping down this year as this is a term-limited position.
As far as her family life goes, Jamie is a proud wife to her husband, who is is currently a pilot for American Airlines. She is also a proud mother of two children in high school: her son a senior, and her daughter a sophomore.
Jamie is a unassailable supporter of the Second Amendment, herself a CWP holder and responsible gun owner.

We need school choice and transparency in education.
Parents need to know what their children are being taught and be involved with the process.

We sorely need to improve our infrastructure, but need to do it with fiscal responsibility.

According to taxfoundation.org South Carolina runs 33 out of 50 states for business tax climate. North Carolina is 10th.
When companies do come to South Carolina, it’s because we cut them a sweetheart deal which puts our local businesses at a disadvantage.
What is House District 48
Jamie is running for District 48 of South Carolina House of Representatives, which is the lower chamber of the South Carolina State Legislature. Alongside the South Carolina State Senate, it forms the legislative branch of the South Carolina state government and works alongside the governor of South Carolina to create laws and establish a state budget. Legislative authority and responsibilities of the South Carolina House of Representatives include passing bills on public policy matters, setting levels for state spending, raising and lowering taxes, and voting to uphold or override gubernatorial vetoes.

South Carolina enacted new state legislative district maps on December 10, 2021, when Gov. Henry McMaster (R ) signed a proposal approved by the South Carolina House and Senate into law. The South Carolina Senate approved House and Senate map proposals in a 43-1 vote on December 7, 2021, and the House approved the new districts in a 75-27 vote on December 9, 2021. Gov. McMaster signed the bill into law the next day.
District 48 includes the Rock Hill, York and Lake Wylie areas of South Carolina.
